Intro to Ansys HFSS 3D Layout — Lesson 1

Ansys HFSS 3D layout is a design type within the Ansys HFSS product. It supports various layout formats generated in other major ECAD systems for analysis using the HFSS solver. It is analogous to the terminal solution type in HFSS. This lesson introduces the tool and covers the interface details.

This lesson consists of one lecture and three workshops.

Lecture

The lecture covers the theoretical aspects of HFSS 3D layout interface — editor, nets, via padstacks and antipad approaches, components, libraries, schematic cosimulation, solvers and port types, etc.

 

Workshop 1

This workshop covers the simulation aspects of ESD board modeling in HFSS 3D layout and its analysis. The outline for this workshop is as follows:

Workshop 2

This workshop covers the simulation aspects of the SSN simulation model in HFSS 3D layout and its analysis. The outline for this workshop is as follows:

Workshop 3

This workshop covers the simulation aspects of the patch antenna array simulation model in HFSS 3D layout and its analysis. The outline for this workshop is as follows:
