Twist and Bent Waveguide Analysis — Lesson 5

Twist and bent types of waveguides are used extensively in electromagnetic devices. Twist waveguides are used to change the polarity of the fields, while bent waveguides are used to change the direction of the fields.

This lesson demonstrates the basic steps required to create the twist and bent waveguide geometries from the WR-15 rectangular waveguide model using Ansys HFSS in Ansys Electronics Desktop Student (AEDT).  It covers the simulation steps of a twist waveguide model and a bent waveguide model. This lesson also covers the analysis of these complex geometries by plotting the cutoff frequencies as well as the field distributions of the model.
