Rectangular Stacked Waveguide Analysis Using Optimetrics — Lesson 4

This lesson covers the steps for creating the geometry of a rectangular stacked waveguide using variables for the dimensions and dielectric material characteristics of the waveguide cavity. It also demonstrates defining local variables and project variables.

This lesson introduces the parametric analysis feature of Ansys HFSS in AEDT. A parametric sweep is defined to analyze the effect of a change in relative permittivity on the electric field inside the rectangular waveguide — revealing the relationship between the electric field and the relative permittivity of the material. This lesson also describes the effect of relative permittivity on the cutoff frequencies of different modes propagating inside the waveguide.
