How to Prepare CAD for CFD Simulation using Ansys Discovery - Lesson 6

Ansys Discovery features the first simulation-driven design tool in which users can create and modify geometry using direct modeling technology, define simulations, and interact with results in real time. To successfully prepare the geometry for performing CFD analysis, it is very important to understand the use and functionality of various geometry design and modification options in Discovery. Geometry processing includes steps like cleaning up and creating an error-free geometry, removing unnecessary geometrical features, creating enclosures/domains, extracting fluid regions, and creating labels/named selections, among other operations. In this three-part lesson, using the example of an automotive air-intake, we will learn how to use Discovery to prepare a geometry for a fluids simulation.
