The accuracy of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) results can be affected by different types of numerical errors. By understanding the cause of each different error type, best practices can be developed to minimize them. In this two-lesson course, we will start with an analysis of the various sources of errors that affect solution accuracy and discuss best practice guidelines for obtaining the most out of a CFD simulation. In the second lesson, important meshing considerations such as quality, resolution, and cell type are discussed and best practices for mesh generation are given.
