Potential Flows - Lesson 3

In special situations, the fluid flow can be assumed to be incompressible, inviscid, and irrotational at the same time. In such cases, the governing equations of fluid motion can be transformed into simple equations to describe the dynamics of fluids. These types of flows are called potential flows. In this lesson, the assumptions behind potential flows are described and the governing equations are derived and discussed in detail.
