Equations of Motion for Rigid Body Systems — Lesson 4

Equations of motion for a particle and rigid body are formulated in vectorial and variational forms. The equations of motion are extended for a system of rigid bodies. Generalized force is a contribution of a force entity to the equations of motion. The virtual work method is presented to develop the generalized force. The Lagrange multiplier method is used to develop the equations of motion with constraints.
