Equations of Motion for Nodal Body Systems — Lesson 6

Action and reaction generalized forces for a beam element are calculated by using the relative deformation of one node with respect to the other node. The concept of action and reaction forces is repetitively applied to all finite elements. Force contributions of one node are added up after coordinate transformation. The element forces are added to the augmented equations of motion for the rest of the system.
