How to Re-mesh Boundaries After Import Mesh – Lesson 4

When importing a mesh file into Ansys Fluent Meshing Watertight Geometry Workflow, it is possible to update and re-mesh the boundaries of the geometry using the Generate the Surface Mesh task. The user can select boundaries to re-mesh and apply a local sizing, a global sizing, or both. In this lesson, we will learn how to use this feature of the Generate the Surface Mesh task and its available options. Furthermore, when a mesh file is imported, the information about the volume mesh is not retained. Hence, it can be relevant to set up appropriate local sizing to refine specific regions of the volume mesh. We will also explore the options available to add volume mesh refinement, such as using the Import Body of Influence Geometry task.
