How to Model Thermal Radiation Between Surfaces — Lesson 3

Thermal radiation is a form of heat transfer in which there’s no need for a medium between the two bodies. Mechanical simulates radiation between two surfaces using the radiosity solver, which calculates the form factors between surfaces and uses the temperatures from the finite element solution to perform radiation calculations. This video will show how to set up the radiation between surfaces in Mechanical and solve and interpret the results.
