Thermal Strain — Lesson 2

3D printing opens up a whole new world for science and technology. Its mechanism is complex and its functioning relies on a machine, material, design, simulation, and many other aspects. When the 3D printer is creating a part, substantial heat is generated with the high-speed spray of the material/fabric. Neglecting such a thermal condition will cause defective products or production failure.

Thermal deformation is not a complex concept, but it might confuse you in different situations. Let’s get started with the definition of thermal strain.
