Defining Loads, BCs, and Solver Controls — Lesson 4

Loads and boundary conditions represent the environment acting on the finite element model. Boundary conditions are values defined for degrees of freedom being solved. Loads can be applied to either the solid model or the finite element mesh. During the solution, result items like stress, strain, and displacements are saved to the result file. In this video, let’s learn how to define loads, boundary conditions and review the solution process for a linear static model using APDL scripting in Mechanical APDL.
