'HFSSHPC_pack' License Error

Failed to check out license ‘hfsshpc_pack’. License server does not support this license (FLEXlm Error – 18)

This is a common error when the HPC License type is set incorrectly to HPC PACK license instead of HPC POOL license. Below are the steps to modify the HPC License options:

1. Modifying HPC License Options From the ANSYS Electronics Desktop window, select the menu item, Tools > Options > HPC and Analysis Options
2. Click the Options tab, under HPC Licensing, select Pool for the HPC License options
3. Click OK button.
