Finned-tube Heat Exchanger – Lesson 6

In this workshop, we will explore the process of creating a CFD-ready mesh for a finned-tube crossflow heat exchanger model, which can be used for conducting a conjugate heat transfer analysis. We will specifically highlight the Set Up Periodic Boundaries task, which can be used to handle geometries with periodic boundaries, and take a closer look at how to set up the translational type periodic boundaries for our model. Also, we will demonstrate how to change the boundary types of certain boundaries and perform translational shift of the model using the Transform Volume Mesh task.
