Waveguides have been around for a long time and they were predominantly used in telecommunications before the advent of wireless technology. They are available in many different forms. The wave propagation will be guided by the conductor walls of the waveguide along its length. This course focuses on the rectangular and circular waveguides filled with a lossless dielectric of the various types of waveguides available. This course covers the theory behind wave propagation in rectangular and circular waveguides by going through their governing equations. This course also covers the simulation aspects of these two waveguides using Ansys HFSS for a better learning experience to the user.
Before you get started with the "Waveguide Simulation Using Ansys HFSS" course, watch why an electromagnetic simulation is important to visualize the electric and magnetic fields and how electromagnetic simulation helps to understand the characteristics of electronics and wireless devices and systems.
