Turbulence is all around us. It significantly affects fluid flows by increasing mixing, transport, and dissipation rates, which have important implications for many engineering applications. So, it is critical to be able to predict and analyze its effects. In this four-lesson course, we will start with understanding turbulence and its applications, and we will discuss the different turbulence modeling approaches available in Ansys Fluent. The subsequent lessons will take us through the characteristics of turbulent boundary layers, near-wall treatments, boundary conditions for turbulent flows, estimation of y+ values, post-processing results, and much more. The course will end with a tutorial guiding you how to model turbulence in Fluent.
