Solution Setup in Ansys Fluent

The setup of a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) problem is not complete without defining the methods, controls, and simulation run parameters that are needed to calculate the solution. In Ansys Fluent, this can be done using the various options in the Solution tab, which is the focus of this course. In this seven-lesson course, we will start with exploring the different discretization schemes and understand their effect on the simulation results. In the subsequent lessons, we will learn how to stabilize the solution calculation, monitor convergence using residuals, create report definitions and report plots, discuss the different types of initialization methods, and discuss simulation run parameters. We will then complete this course with a hands-on demo of a flow over finned tube heat exchanger, where we will learn in more detail about the various options and settings available in the Solution tab.
