Intro to Heat Transfer in Fluids — Lesson 1

Have you ever wondered what it looks like when an oven transforms the dough you mixed into flavorful and tasty muffins?

This process is possible thanks to the heat of the oven that gets transferred to the dough and makes it rise and solidify. Heat transfer is an essential process of many real-world applications. It does not necessarily imply that something gets warmer. In fact, heat transfer is essential to remove excessive heat and control temperatures, for example, when cooling down your electronics to avoid overheating and get the best performance.

The heat gets transferred from one system to another, making things heat up or cool down.

In this lesson we will discover what heat transfer is and how it is applied in real-world application.
