Intro to Ansys Maxwell and EMB Applications — Lesson 2
Maxwell is an electromagnetic tool integrated into the Ansys Electronics Desktop (AEDT). It offers simulation of low-frequency electromagnetic devices with different solvers to get accurate results. Maxwell allows you to plot various results, including force, torque, inductance, and capacitance plot to visualize magnetic and electric fields.
This lesson introduces the basics of the Maxwell tool with an example of an electromagnetic fail-safe brake (EMB), which we will simulate and analyze in the next part of our lessons. This lesson describes the applications of EMB and how it works.
