Electrothermal Analysis Using Icepak in Ansys Electronics Desktop — Lesson 4

Electrothermal analysis helps to minimize the catastrophic failure of the models during the design phase. This analysis also helps engineers to clearly visualize the transfer of heat inside the design and provide insights.

This lesson consists of one lecture and three workshops.

Lecture

This lecture covers the theoretical aspects of electrothermal analysis using AEDT Icepak. This analysis can be done on designs covering Ansys HFSS, Ansys HFSS 3D layout, Ansys Maxwell, and Ansys Q3D. It also discusses electrothermal ACT and manual workflow. The induction heating application is presented as an appendix to cover the electrothermal workflow.


Workshop 1

This workshop covers the simulation aspects of setting up a model using HFSS and Icepak multiphysics in AEDT. The outline for this workshop is as follows:

Workshop 2

This workshop covers the simulation aspects of setting up a model using Maxwell and Icepak multiphysics in AEDT. The outline for this workshop is as follows:

Workshop 3

This workshop covers the simulation aspects of setting up a model using Q3D and Icepak multiphysics in AEDT. The outline for this workshop is as follows:
