I'm not sure if you are a good chef, but when a chef is making a delicious omelet, have you ever thought about how heat transfers from the fire to the frying pan, how the liquid egg heats up and how the heat gets transferred to the chef's hand? The modes of heat transfer are different in each case. Identifying and understanding the modes of heat transfer are essential in solving heat transfer problems.
