Description of Fluid Motion - Lesson 2

Different fluids move differently; their motion varies depending on the engineering application. The branch of fluids that looks into the motion without worrying about the forces acting on the fluid is referred to as fluid kinematics. In this lesson, we will learn about four different components of fluid motion: translation, rotation, angular deformation and volumetric deformation. Depending on the flow, a fluid can experience more than one of these components, which together describe the fluid flow.
