Differentiating a Floquet Port and Radiating Boundary Condition Using Ansys HFSS — Lesson 3

To analyze an infinite array or a finite array, Ansys HFSS needs to set up coupled boundary conditions in the simulation model. In addition to this, the Floquet analysis method is used to realize the periodic nature of the infinite array. Finite arrays can use radiation boundary conditions for incorporating the open conditions that are required to simulate the radiation characteristics of an antenna. This lesson details how we can differentiate the usage and outcome of the Floquet port and radiation boundary while simulating an antenna array in Ansys HFSS.
