Geometry Preparation in Ansys SpaceClaim — Lesson 1

Engineers use wind tunnels to test proposed car models and validate results against computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation. During such tests, the car model is placed in the tunnel and air is forced to flow over the car. Various tests are conducted to measure forces on the car.  For simulation, a virtual wind tunnel (box) is created around the computer-aided design (CAD) model of the car.

In this video, you will learn how to prepare a solar car in Ansys SpaceClaim. This includes learning how to repair geometry, prepare the enclosure, create bodies of influence, and name selections.
